The long awaited upgrade. They said in 5 days and then I got another message saying 23 June now poof it is done.

Do you have to pay for this site Seeker? If so, I will totally donate! I love this place! When the new forum appeared, my heart flew into my stomach, I thought the forum was GONE!! eek!!!!!! So thankful for it.

No it is still free. The idea is that to remove the ads, one pays $5 a month but if you use firefox you can get the add-on Adblock Plus that takes care of the ads.
I looked at the admin side briefly and there do not appear to be options to make it look like the old forum, seems the smilies are screwed up too.
I was hoping the upgrade would be WYSIWYG allowing for bold italics etc. from common shortcuts such as ctrl+b and ctrl+i, sadly we seem to have even less edit features. IIRC the theme I chose gave us all the extras.
At the top of where the boards start, there are links, * View unanswered posts • View new posts • View active topics.
Busy with a kitchen now so I will look into the admin features and see what we can do to improve the look and feel - be patient.
