Conduct and Etiquette

Although the forum is akin to physical fellowship, all we have is text and emoticons. Calling one's belief and/or interpretation as foolish or dumb is the same as calling the person that.

Be sensitive to each other, respect each others views, one can disagree to a view by stating "I disagree" or "that is not the way I see it" etc. Do not say that is a lie, that is trash, rubbish etc. This will merely fuel argument and not debate and that is helpful to no one.

Foul, abusive language will not be tolerated. One warning then we hit the Image

Courtesy issues

Please try and post your threads in the appropriate boards. Read the purpose of this board sticky in each board.

Please refrain from quoting a long post merely to give it a thumbs up or I agree, you can quote a portion of the poster's text and then say "I agree" or post a smiley or just say great post "Name-of-Poster".

Sometimes we are tempted to answer a question in a post aimed at a specific user. Let that user answer the question first, like real conversation we can apply the same etiquette

Let us also try and keep to the OP (original post) topic.

Do not hijack threads. Stay on topic

If something is going to take the thread off topic, start a new thread.

Baiting or trolling will not be tolerated.

(Baiting is similar to trolling, in that baiters, like trolls, try to elicit a response from other users. The difference is that the response is supposed to be embarrassing to the user in question, and humorous to others. Baiters frequently concentrate on groups they do not like - Source: Wikipedia)

Threads closed for any reason, you may not immediately begin a new thread on the same topic. Should you want the thread reopened, PM one of the moderators.

A One-to-One conflict resolution is set up to resolve issues. Mods will need to start the thread and give you permission to access the board. No one except conflictees and Mods will be able to see discussions here.

These rules will be amended from time to time.

These will result in a ban without warning. The ban will be permanent (no reprieve)

    1. You may not advertise merchandise and or any network marketing schemes.

    2. You may not post URLs (links) to external websites of an offensive nature including
but not limited to pornographic, child abuse, pedophile sites.

    3. You may not link offensive Avatars.

    4. You may not post obscene images or links to such.

For the following; one warning will be given and then if repeated, you will be banned without further explanation. The ban may be of time duration but rather expect it to be permanent.

1. Trolling.
2. Baiting.
3. Flaming.
4. Calling out any member's views/opinions as stupid, dumb, crazy etc. viz. insults.
5. Public criticism of moderation decisions.
6. Starting a new thread of a similar topic as one that is recently locked.

These rules may be amended from time to time so keep up to date with them.
