In the most simple and basic terms.

What is it really all for?
WHY are we here?
What purpose?
And what will be the end result?

Please don't quote bibles or other books or other people's words.
Just, in your own basic words... Please... just say whats in your heart.

I believe that Love is all that truly exists and is God

we are each here to express, manifest a part of that love

for some it might amount to a smile to a hurting individual, for others great exploits and humanities. But even the basest of us at some point loves because love must express itself.

All that is not appearing as love is really just like darkness, simply a place where love has not manifestly expressed itself quite yet though it exists there before all that appears to not be love. In other words Love got there first but waits till the fullness of time to manifest where ever it is appointed to manifest, which is everywhere, in everything.

Finally we will realize there really was nothing but love all along. Because the darkness will seem a vapor compared to the glory that is revealed.

Its ALL about love

Hey Sparrow:

34 years ago, I had an epiphany. The message was, “Walk Thankfully before me and minister to others as you are able”. I have been trying to understand the true aspects of my “Great Commission” ever since. :mshrug:

Sometimes I think it must have been the result of bad pizza! :mshock:

Seriously, the words of Jesus, “to whom much is given, much shall be required” come to mind. It might be as simple as this: “Be thankful for what you have - it might be ALL you will ever get”! But, I suppose that a Thankful Life should demonstrate contentment by being Loving, Forgiving, Generous, Honest, Trustworthy and Selfless. It seems to me that ministry to others must also have these attributes, probably longsuffering too. Anyway, there you have it – a long list of characteristics to which I aspire but achieve with regrettable infrequency. :sigh:

In His Love, John :ht:

I had the epiphany thing happen too.

"As Jonah was three days and three nights in the fish's belly so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth".

Perfect love then enveloped me and assured me it was all in the plan and that even as we have borne the image of clay we will also bear the image of light

My truth is that perfect love permeates and controls the universe - to be manifest in due season.

My love is tested/proven by a willingness to bear the clay (and to bear all the other clay-dwellers :mwink:)

Great question Sparrow :giveflower:

I somehow believe that we are here as training or learning. For what I dont know?
I just know that in my own life - there is always a lesson in each good experience or trial I go through. When the lesson is learned, one beomes more free - layer by layer -- the truth sets us free.

Its like we start out in bondage and learn how to become freer and freer and as we become free - we help others become free

Isn't that what Jesus did? He came to lead us to the Father which would have us realize our true position with him, a position of love and acceptance and as we grasp that we become ones that have life and life more abundantly.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners

I believe that we are here to learn. I think that God loves His creation, all of us, humans, animals, trees, plants, flowers, water, etc. I think He has created an absolute masterpiece that He wants to share with those things that He created and live in that Masterpiece for an eternity. I used to think well maybe it will be some misty vagueness, state of love and we won't even have all of this physical stuff.. maybe there will be no physicall need for it.
BUT I totally, NOW believe that to be wrong. His creation is "very good". So much imagination and variety! What WONDERS!!!! And this may even be the tip of the iceberg, who knows. Maybe there are colors we have never even imagined! So much, that will probably knock us off our feet.

I think that He loves us so much that he has allowed us to put on the corruptible and experience the knowledge of good and evil, so that we may TRULY know Him in a way we would never have been able if we reamined "incorruptible".

I think He has an insanely wonderful rich (in color, in activity, in wonder) eternal existance layed out for us. I wonder if we may have had a small taste of some of the existance BEFORE we came here, (but maybe we didn't fully understand or realize because we had no knowledge of good and evil). Who knows WHAT we will be doing, or what it will really be like. But I do trust that God will reuinte loved ones. I think that God doesn't let anyone love in vain. I think we will be reunited with our loved ones and there will be no more tears. We will be able TO REALLY express our love for our loved ones we had on earth, in a way we NEVER could while living on earth. That, in itself is enough of a paradise to me. To be able to plow over those wrongs against each other and embrace and really for the FIRST time, LOVE unfettered, unrestrained and be able to FEEL that love between you. THAT is heaven. Eathly sex will have NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING on this type of unrestrained love. Sex is just a shadow of a reality, in my eyes.
IF you see it in a pure sense, than this kind of talk will not embarass you.

I believe that everyone will go through their own judgment, so that each person can LEARN what it is they need to learn in order to live for eternity. From the time we were little kids to old men, the whole life span of a person, God will lovingly, patiently show them all at once.... everything that they learned, and everything that they didn't learn. Maybe this is the lake of fire, of sorts. But God's fire is a refining fire. only destroying the darkness, that which is not needed anymore. I think this will be true of all existance, too. Everything, God will show us....how NON-LOVE affects. The whole sum effect. All down the line, how it permeates and destroys. God will LOVINGLY show us this big picture. Then we will truly UNDERSTAND Love. And God is love. So then we will TRULY understand God. HE wants to show us who He is. He wants us to know. Because the knowing will cause us to have unbelievable joy. A joy we could not have known if God had just left us as incorruptible. I think that's the most important thing/reason why we're here. To step back and SEE God.

Paradise wouldn't be "paradise" if you couldn't compare it to anything else to truly REALIZE just WHY it is paradise.

I think that everyone of us has a deep longing in our hearts to go home. We may not understand what the feeling is, but I think it exists in everyone.

We are more than what we appear. We are beautiful beings, pure and wonderful, in the image of God. God subjected us to corruption so we would be fit to have eternal life. As we walk through this life, we must fight this present darkness that insists on forming hard scales on ourselves. Don't wallow in self hatred (which a lot of people do, and then that just multiplies the darkness) don't crash the hammer down on yourself, crash it down on those scales of darkness that have formed on you. (The darkness is "non-love")This world is FALLEN. And in every aspect of life it permeates. Trickles down. So many reasons why people make mistakes and do selfish things, and harmful things to each other. We are not really this way. This is not who we are. But it is an effect of walking through a fallen state. Remember, we were subjected to corruption.

We are here to learn.
So that we can be with God forever...
in His wonderful masterpiece.
We will not lose our loved ones.
The reunion is going to be one of the reasons why paradise will BE paradise.
To finally love our loved ones the way God always intended.
Our loved ones on earth will REMAIN special to us.
No matter what.
YEs, we will all be family...
but our earth family and our reunion and true love being revealed and uncovered and unrestrained will be on of the WONDERS.

I think everything will just be permeated with love.
And that kind of love.... I'm just so excited. because GOODNESS will BE EVERYWHERE.
God, I love good.

Who knows what He has in store...
but I'm excited.
