Numbers 15:30But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

31Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

32And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

This poor man was stoned and killed for forgetting, and picking up sticks. More than that, he was declared cut off forever by the declaration of God, the Darkness. For picking up those sticks.

We know that all the world who were not of Israel, could not be cut of as they were not a part of the congregation of the Lord. This could only be done to one of the people of Israel.
Paul explained it clearly.

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Did Jesus say anyone would be cut off?

Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

If this is so, how could Jesus say this?

John 10:15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. [That fold being Judaeans]

Because this is where those other sheep come from.

Amos 9:9For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

What a difference in what God had to say to the people through Moses, and what God said when He was here in person.
Is this one who was all for cutting people off the same God, our Lord Jesus of whom this is declared?

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

well the problem is in trying to reconcile the OT and NT they just dont fit

The soul that sins shall die and yet that is NOT what happens because we dont die here or in the next realm

They always defend this contradiction by saying that jesus offers the new way but that didnt help the old testament people who lived under what was basically a lie for 1000 years did it?

seems to me the OT was self written by the Jews to give them an excuse for slaughtering other peoples in the name of God..

One Tin Soldier song remember? Do it in the name of Heaven (Yahweh) you can justify it in the end!

but if you believe we all deserve Hell then anything is permissible including smashing babies heads on rocks as encouraged by Ps 137

Please explain, are you saying you have no need for a resurrection? Do you think/believe you are immortal?
