Scripture speaks of fullness of time, so what is this?

To me it appears to be a point where physical time as we know it has a completion, so it also appears that time as we know it has a finish and that there is no more measured time beyond that point.

The day of days, the age of ages, the fullnes of time, all of these scriptural refferances appear to point to an end of measured time at some point. God has said he shall not strive with man forever
for man is flesh and he is Spirit, so is measured time and the ages to do with the human side of us only, the flesh only?
IS the spiritual part of us outside of measured time now? it seems measured time could only ever apply to the natural man not the spiritual man, our natural body ages yet the spirit is ageless and is willing where the flesh is made weak through the laws of nature and physical limitations. As an example one may possibly have two people in his life who fall ill and are hospitalized at the same time, upon finding out you wish to visit both but are limited to visiting one at a time because of space and distance between the two and the travel time involved you can't physicaly be in two places at once, or maybe even futher limited because of limited means to get there to visit even one of these people in the hospital you are unable to visit either one of the two at all, so it appears we suffer the physical limitations of natural laws and measured time in the flesh while at the same time the spirit is willing and longs to see both of the people. I believe all these things that can grieve us in the spirit has an end, what do you see on the subject of measured time being completed at a point where measured time shall be no more?

I agree with your points – the spirit and flesh issue. But the consummation of time is a huge subject!

Gal 4:4 and Eph 1:10 both mention a “fullness of time” and seem to convey a temporal aspect to Jesus coming when He did. Some say it was all prophesied in the OT. I just don’t see that it can be conclusively proven as such. It’s all too complicated and ambiguous for me.

I think Jesus taught us to be “Ever Ready” and actually shied away from people wanting to know the future or the end of times. Time is important to man – I’m not sure it means much to God. Anyway, I like Psalms 118:24: “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

The modern day Psalmist, Billy Joel, said it this way:

“This is the time to remember
'Cause it will not last forever
These are the days to hold on to
'Cause we won't, although we'll want to
This is the time…”

Finally, the words of Jesus: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Mat 6:34

Yes I know it is a huge subject and more than I am going to ever know now about it, however it is a subject that has always drawn my interest, not out of fear like the end times dooms dayers or like those who dwell in the past as if they were stuck there, these two extremes work some folks like a yo-yo back and forth and it appears it is most probably fear of the unknown. With me the subject of measured time into an eternal now where time is no more has aways drawn my interest.

Also after reading Bernies thread in the forum help section about: "do we still need this discussion forum? and one reason he asked was rarely does anyone ever start any new topics and post them, I thought I would post a few new threads on subjects that might be of interest to some of the others here as well as myself and is still related to the gospel, and in one way or another many topics that might not be considered
to have anything to do with the gospel or our heavenly Father are still related to God , life in general is all related to the things of God no matter how we view it.

So if anyone else is interested in measured time, the day of days, the ages, the glories which is all related to this subject please post away, I appreciate any replies and the discussions.
