Hey Sparrow. I don't think God is chuckling at you. He is just giving you new revelations to share with us and help us to see. I never though of evil having to be exhausted. That makes sense if I really, really think about it. As we move toward the newness, we have to keep shedding what is holding us back on our journey. It is a little scary for me sometimes to think of the highest level that evil can go to before it will be exhausted, but we always have hope in Him.

Well, I have been silent up until now about all this, but 8 years ago I had returned to active voting for the first time in 18 years, and now I live to regret it. 2 terms of Bush, the first election was a joke. My vote didn't seem to count after all, seeing that I voted for Gore in 2000, and Gore won the popular vote, only for a federal judge to elect Bush. And where did this all take place? Why in Florida, where George's brother Jeb Bush is governor.

In 4000 some years, we really haven't learned our lesson about running things ourselves and not let God be Lord. Many even insist that God ordained the governments because we need them. Rubbish! God did give us permission to have our governments in order to show us how well we really run things, and that is we mess things up royally! The sad thing is that many are too blind to see this fact!

It seemed that in the days when Israel wanted a king, they petitioned to Samuel, who was told by the Lord to give them the king they wanted, saying they rejected Him. God further said that this king would make unreasonable demands of his subjects. We may not have a monarchy here in the USA, but we do have a system that's clearly secular, and more or less leaves God out of the picture. And we are often subjected to unreasonable demands (like taxing the lower working class? I understand that poor people were not required to give a tithe in the OT, yet modern day rulers seem to give breaks to the rich and take from the poor). The only good president IMHO is one who will give NO tax breaks to the rich, including multimillion dollar churches. This should relieve the burden on the poor. As far as those multimillion dollar churches, they should be heavily taxed, unless they take that surplus and distribute it to the needy. (The government in turn should also give it to the needy if they tax the churches)

It's high time we let God be the only government we need.

Chuck
