I just had to share something I experienced recently as this could remind us of WHO we represent here on earth.

A friend of mine, whom i have known for more than 15 years returned to town after attending her grandmothers funeral. She is a single mother and she has her own dance company. Her company is becoming more popular therefore her 'work' is now becoming more demanding. (Just an off-note here, her company performed the 'Welcome to Country' dance for the Pope recently at the World Youth Day - I was lucky to be a part of that group too) She needed to travel out of town for work again and i asked her who looked after her girls while she went away. She hadnt thought that far and i offered to look after them. she took me up on the offer and even my children were excited at having them come and stay for a few days.

Looking after the children was absolutely nothing, they were kind, well mannered and i felt like there was no work involved. my friend returned from her trip and knowing she arrived late in the afternoon i cooked dinner for everyone, made sure the children showered before she would return home and that would make it easier on my friend. my friends mother, sister and other family members all live in the same town we do however my friend came into the kitchen where i was still cooking dinner and asked what i had done. i wasnt sure what she was talking about, she went on to explain that every single trip she went on, when she returned the children would run to her, hug her and ask if they could go home. but she could see they were comfortable, i then set the table for dinner. she said "are we staying for dinner too?" i simply said it is dinner time.

My friend began to cry and explained that even with her family, when she returned from a trip her family would want her to pick the children up and leave straight away. Nobody had asked her to stay on for dinner.

I thought she had it all, she's still got a dancers body (mine has gone all "middle-age"!!! hehe), she has her own dance company and has travelled the world and has done many performances performers would be jealous at doing. For me, this experience tells me that even without thinking - Our Father is pouring out His love to those who need it. We do not realise how much of a blessing we are to those around us. My friend is not a Christian, she has grown up in the Catholic Church but does not know the Father on a personal level however she has obviously felt His Love for her through this situation.

We are His witness and we are the walking epistles ...

Peace-n-Love

What a great story!!! We assume a lot sometimes don't we?

I remember seeing a Dennis Rodman interview once and I was shocked at what happened. Here's a man who is rich and retired and basically does whatever he wants whenever he wants - travels the world etc. When the interviewer turned the subject to family he looked down then back up and said "My daughter..." and before he could get one more word out these huge tears just popped out of nowhere, instantly running down his face - I've never seen anything quite like it. He tried to regain his composure and talked a bit about missing a lot of his daughter's childhood and the strain it had put on their relationship.

As far as I'm concerned those of us here (knowing God AND free from religion) are the richest of the rich.

Keep sharing the wealth!
