In this thread I would like to hear what insight you have received from the Lord which has impacted your life the most.

Blessings,

Simple. The Lord shown up in person twice in my life and imparted two very important principles, some that I have been slow to learn.

1) Repentance comes through Love (Kindness, Tolerance, Patience), not by force or judgment.
2) Although we know He exists, we must know why, what and how and grow in Him to the unity of the knowledge of the Truth. In other words, never be unprepared without an answer to the hope that is within you, and make sure that answer is true.

The most important thing I learned, and it will always be the most important thing I learned, is that God truly loves everyone unconditionally. I can't think of anything more wonderful that a human being could know about their Heavenly Father.

I've never had visions, dreams or visitations from God. But, I haven't suffered depression in over 4 years and I give all the praise to God because He took away my fear of hellfire when He revealed to me His deep and abiding love for me.

I don't know if it is just ONE! But "these" have been the most important things it has taken
me YEARS to learn. First, the difference in the "suffering" Christ, which He was when He was
"made" like unto His brethren "for" suffering..........and the RISEN Christ, who is totally
opposite. When He was suffering, He was made LOWER than the angels "for" that reason:
for suffering, but when He was "raised" He was "given" a NAME Higher than angels.
Of course, He was that Name before He was in human form 2000 years ago and put that NAME
back on in His Resurrection. He left NOTHING out that was not put under Him. That just
blows my mind.....and then when it says there, "What is man, that thou shouldst visit him?"

Another thing that is important to me, is the subject of "boundaries." God even gave ESAU
a territory........tells Israel to "respect" it for that territory was "given" to ESAU. Flesh and
blood cannot "inherit" the Kingdom of God, but God can put immortality and incorruption
in flesh and blood, and that just blows my mind!!!

And God is God on His Own. He created the heavens and earth, man did not, He is the
beginning, and the end. He began building His House, and He finishes it. The whole of
God is too big for my comprehension. I am every day amazed at His faithfulness, like
the sun coming up every morning. Like His Grace coming thru to someone like a blade of
grass thru concrete. Who could do that but God?

Hi Byron, the first thing God ever told me was "your life has always been in my care."
That was awhile back when I was contemplating one of the steps in the 12step program for aa, I went to bed that night
sober and not craving a drink, for the first time in years. I havent desired alcohol since that moment.
I also somehow knew that it wasnt just my life in Gods care it was every life, all life is in the care of God.

Wow - great posts here, as I knew there would be :sohappy:

It can be hard to narrow it down to one thing when there are so many GREAT things - that's why I haven't posted yet :mblush:

I know that the first great thing was learning that God knows me through and through and yet holds none of it against me.

He was the first person I ever met who was like that!

blessings,

- Byron
