Obams plans to start construction and other work programs to get people back to work.

Looking back to my young childhood memories I remember the (civilian consevation corp) ccc camps and the WPA construction programs that built side walks and did road work , Franklin D Roosevelt started these programs up with what he called the "new deal", and I am not sure if the former President Hoover didn't have some policy along those lines drawn up and that Rosevelt just carried through with it when he became president, that I really don't know as some people say Hoover had the plans for these programs on the drawing board and Roosevelt just followed them on out while other folks say no. These programs soon faded out with the start of WW11
and so all I can say is that I remember the work programs and the camps, my Dad worked in the CCC camps until some time a little before the war started.

People then that desperately needed the jobs and income were able to get work so that was good, now what we are witnessing with the economy and unemployment what Obama is proposing for when he takes office sounds like a repeat of History under very simular conditions, " a new deal" different year, time and date same old hat?

Peace, Fire Walker.

It's the same ole hat. Hopefully a hat of humility and a generation now realizing that 'credit' only makes us slaves to the rich. It should be called 'dis-credit'

Sure agree with that one Byron it should be called
dis-credit.

And boy oh boy those pedora hats everyone was wearing back then are old hats that are getting pretty slouchy by now, who wants to go to town with their old slouch hat and stand in some soup line for hours for a bowl of gruel?

Can almost foresee the history repeating, soup lines, no jobs, people out in the winter cold and after so long the work programs simular or like the WPA and the CCC look as a very welcome relief to the countless many who are caught up in these circumstances, lines waiting out in the cold, no force is needed that already hasn't been applied through financial manipulation to get most of the people into these civilian labor camps with little if any force, though some who openly rebel may be put into detention labor camps and there indoctrinated into compliance to conform.to the system, personaly I am not one to be in fear of anything that may come to pass, however people should be informed if the signs that are already out there have not wakened some folks up, yet, avoid going into debt , or getting caught up on the credit marketing scams and manipulation or keeping up with the Jones,
and for Heavens sake we don't need all those slouchy "OLD HATS"anyway!

Peace,
Fire Walker

:sigh:
Well, the way so many jobs are going down the tube and contractors that are not entirely honest runing around the country doing what work there is left to do which most working people can't afford anyway let alone a dis-honest contractor it looks like I might just have to dig my old pedora hat and work boots out of the closet and become a do it yourself repairer even on work I know nothing about, either that or just let everything go to pot. Even this after the physical strength of my youth has gone years ago andI have been retired for over 12 years now is still better than many folks have it today so I am niether boastng nor complaining just discussing what I see going on in the world out here, it is a mess and probably always has been since Adam, yes it is looking like due time to dig that old slouch hat back out and forget about the rose colored glasses that many churches look at the world with today, that is such a blind niave way to go.

Peace,
Fire Walker
