It has been about a week that an inward urge to post these verses on this forum has been drawing on me and it seems there is no relent or rest for me from this urge in sight until it is delivered, usualy I am not much of one to post scriptures, though fairly often I have participated in discussing various passages and verses that another member has posted.

This world events board appears to be the best place
I can see posting this.

Weather it is the economic crisis that we are witnessing in the world today or the lead up to and including the great depression of the late 1920's and 1930's that the world passed through then, weather it is a personal crisis we may be dealing with or wars that have past, rumors of wars that abound in this world now and could break out into world war 111 at the drop of a pin any one of these days,, these verses somehow seem to address all of us sooner or later inwardly:

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing has happened to you, but rejoice in as much as you are partakers of Christs sufferings; that when his glory is revealed you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
( 1 Peter 4:12-13)

(Therefore be exhorted to:)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth where moth and rust do corrupt and where thieves break in and steal ( like those who utilize usuery for profit as international bankers and wall street do, that is theft though indirectly)
rather lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust corrupt and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Mat 6:19-20)

(Because:)

The days of our years are threescore years and ten and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years (or more )
yet is their strength labor and sorrow for it is soon cut off and we fly away. (Psa 90:10)

It doesn't appear that any of these verses can be walked around, circumvented or ignored though some may think so for a season, it is all vanity to think we are not going to be tried, or that we can increase our years beyond our appointed time in this world, even today it is not uncommon to see some folks well on in years when stricken with weakness of strengh to think something strange that they do not deserve to go through has happened to them, or someone preaching to them that if they had lived a better life this wouldn't be happening to them, all this is lies and vanity that does more harm than good, shows boastful arrogance on the part of the one preaching himself. In the time of Job when someone came into their time of trial and trouble at least the world left them alone to ponder the deeper things of God for seven days, today in these fast moving times the world can't leave someone in their time of trouble alone for seven hours let alone seven days.

Fire Walker,

You speak great wisdom. I guess we will never in this life time ever meet each other face to face - but I must say that I take much joy in your realism. Optimism is only good if it is the truth. False hope is empty and provides no solutions. This life is a rough time, indeed! And as this age closes out it will get much like it was in the days of Noah before the flood as Christ says. But the truth of the matter is that the good times are ahead of us - when this nightmare is over. This is something we can be very optimistic about! Being in the spiritual realm with a spiritual body that never dies!!!

Fire walker,

Thank you for those wonderful words that sent spiritual chills through this wore out body! We do need a reminder often, daily, that HE in control of all this mess! I just watched this video this morning and thought I'd share it with everyone. I'll have to just post a link because for some reason I can't get the video to embed.

A beautiful reminder that He's not through with any of us yet and that we will never, NEVER go it alone.

Blessings and love and His HOPE to everyone!

Dawn,

Very thoughful Dawn. My thinking is that God never leaves anyone out of His Master Plan. So we are all very important to Him. And the best part is that it has all been worked out from the beginning and all ends very well, indeed!!!

one revelation that came over me that has brought much personal rest is that not taking everything said or done in this world pesonal: Like when voting for example for our political leaders, personaly no matter who wins is not going to change where we are in Christ, I am no longer being moved up and down or from side to side, tree to tree. There has been corruption in politics and religion from time immemorial. and that is how it is in the system of this world.

Christ didn't come to condemn the world or to change the world , he changes us inwardly in the things that do not perish. Is there any place in the gospel of Christ that commands us to change the world? If there is I am not seing it, a corporate social gospel might demand we change the world, that isn't the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Where is any love, hope or good news in demanding we change the world? Change it to what? some one or group of peoples that preach a social conformity, a theocricy molded to thier viewpoints and doctrines? I hardly see that as anything more than an "us and them doctrines of men" where political doctrines are preached in churches and religious doctrines are preached in political offices the marriage of politics/religion theocricy where theocricy is bad only when the other guys church is in charge is an use and them theology all about the survival of the flesh and certainly not the spiritual food of the gospel of good news.

I am hoping for the best for no matter who gets voted into the office of President, many things have already been put into play by past administrations that are going to bare fruit, sweet and bitter that the next administration is going to be facing, so no matter what poitical party comes into office there are certain political/religious things that arn't going to change outwardly without passage of time or maybe until the river of time itself has run its course.
