Throughout the bible, we have "old/new", Law/Grace, Lies/Truth, flesh/Spirit, etc.
The first Adam, was of the earth, "carnal mindset", in the absence of revealed LOVE. He was a shadow of the one to come, but in reality; the opposite-one based on lies, carnality, enmity, self righteousness, works, etc.
Christ was the last Adam, the TRUTH. Born from above; demonstrating Faith and Trust in the Father, and revealing Unconditional Love.
My question is, was or is there "two Eve's". One carnal Eve, and a "Spiritual Eve"? just like there were two Adams.
Was/Is there an old covenant Eve (deceived)?
perhaps, Israel under the care of the fleshly Priest system??
or is Eve in the "Genesis story" only a parable/symbolic and representing the "church"??
any thoughts??

Wow, Lauren, that's a good question about Eve and I'd never really thougt about it before.
But, I do believe that Adam represented the male side of God and Eve represented the female side of God. El Shaddi is the breasted one, the God who nurtures and feeds us from his bosom. Jesus mentions Jerusalem and how he would take them under his wing like a mother hen. That's how most women feel towards their newborn babies. They are very nurturing and protective that no harm comes to the baby. That's how God is towards us...very nurturing and protective. He's watching over us to keep us safe and sound, and, if anything should happen to us, God will be with us during our trials and tribulations.
I was also thinking about women of the Bible who were compared to each other...Sarah who was the mother of Isaac is more a type of Eve because there are many places in Genesis that talk about her being the mother of many nations. Now Hagar was Ishmael's mother and he wasn't the promised seed, but came through illegitimate means. These contrasts can be seen in many OT women.

The first Adam was of the earth, earthly, the second Adam is Jesus, from heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:47
The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
The same is true of Eve. The first Eve is of the earth, earthly. The second Eve is Jerusalem in heaven, the Bride of Christ, the mother of all who do, or will believe.
Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Galatians 4:26
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Laren,
I believe your thoughts re Eve are right on. First, a "mother" of
all, in the flesh, "deceived" ........
And, as she is "saved" thru "childbirth" .......she becomes the MOTHER
of us all, NOT deceived.
Consider also Vasti and Esther.
Takes "faith" to go in ..........and the law leads us to faith. You know
all this.
The law is not of faith.
Without faith it is impossible to please God.

If Jesus is the second Adam, then His wife is the second Eve. Paul said the same.
Ephesians 5:31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The attire of the inner beauty of faith makes Eve a "saved" woman when God brings her thru the HOLY law of God "to" faith!
I don't disagree with what you said, Peacetroll. Not at all.[
